Foundation: Making AVC a household name
However, Razo pointed out that only $35 of that ticket price is tax-deductible based on IRS rules. That's the portion being donated to the college as a fundraiser. College governing board members are also working with donors on IRS rules regarding the selection process for scholarship recipients. Razo said donors can participate on the scholarship committee team that chooses the recipients, but they cannot have the sole say on which students benefit from the donation. That rule prevents a donor from contributing to the scholarship fund and then awarding the money to a family member or friend. Scholarship teams consist of a minimum of three members, but often five or seven people participate in the decision process. Razo said each department at the college has a committee, and those committees welcome community participation.

RETIRING Queensland Bulls legend Michael Kasprowicz has left an indelible mark on the game with his good humour. FABIO THE RIGHT ONE
Fabio must be the right person to push them in the right direction. There are good English coaches, but the reality is you cannot find at this moment an English coach with great experience of high-level, international football. The best teams in England that play European football have foreign coaches. I dont think its an easy situation for them, but from outside I can understand the FA are taking care of their situation. They are probably waiting for the revolution to get an English manager. This is the normal tendency. I have so many great memories of England that even if I go, like I hope to, to another football country, I will always be in love with England. Mischievous, perhaps, but Mourinho did not state he will not be back in the Premier League next season and there is nothing in his Chelsea severance agreement that precludes it.

Growth, fiscal responsibility: reasons to vote 'yes' in Unit 5
Some critics have scoffed at that projection, saying growth is slowing or will slow in the Twin Cities. However, similar things were said before the March 2000 referendum when school officials projected enrollment would grow to 13,000 by 2010. With two years to go, the district is less than 600 students away from meeting that projection.Renovating eight older schools is a sound investment in those buildings and in the students who attend them and will be attending them in the future. Students in the same district shouldn't be placed at an academic disadvantage because newer schools have better equipment and resources. The Unit 5 school board has been fiscally responsible. The district has implemented a number of cost-saving measures in the last five years. These have included a two-year freeze of base pay for all employees, increased class sizes and reduction in administrative and custodial/maintenance staff. If the state provided a bigger share of education funding, property taxes wouldn't bear such a heavy burden.
